Whip It

Ed Kelly had the pleasure of working with the talented Canadian actor, Elliot Page (formerly Ellen Page), in the film Whip It. Not only was Page a delight to work with on set, but their talent as an actor is indisputable. In Ed’s role as the Pageant Coordinator, he had the opportunity to witness Page’s raw talent first-hand, including Page’s ability to flawlessly deliver lines and improvise when necessary.

It was also a privilege for Kelly to work with Drew Barrymore, who made her directorial debut with Whip It. Known for her down-to-earth personality and warm embrace, Barrymore made sure to personally hug all of the actors at the end of each day’s shoot. Kelly was thrilled to learn that his scene with Page had been included in the trailer for the film.

Overall, Kelly had a fantastic experience working on Whip It and is grateful for the opportunity to have collaborated with such talented individuals. The film, which tells the story of a small town Texas teen who finds herself in a world of roller derby, has been a hit with audiences across the globe.
